25 things to do this Summer + Fun DIYs within :P

Good Morning, Afternoon, or Evening wherever you are in this beautiful world!

  Summer... Summer... SUMMER!

Summer time! The time of year where you can finally sing your hearts out and dance on the tables! The time when you can literally sleep as late as you want to! The time where you ca- wait a minute! I haven't planned out my summer 😰!

This is the moment when you feel like your whole life has been ruined, your BFFL ( best friend for life ) is going to Aruba to have a dip in the ocean, while you are here cleaning up after your brother's mess. Your life might have just ended because you spent the whole year complaining about school and how you were going to have the best summer ever when really you only have a bag of potato chips to chomp on and Miracles in Heaven to watch every day ( which I recommend watching if you are faithful Christian ☺) planned for 9 weeks!

STOP! I got you covered! Here are 25 fun summdeas ( summer + ideas ) to get you started!

   The Best Summer... Yet!

1.)  Watch Your Fave Classics - I am a person who is not a big fan of new T.V shows. So what do I do? I spend my time watching Sinbad! If you are a fan of new T.V shows, buy them on your device store ( ex. iTunes; Play Store ), and binge watches the movie, or even better the series! If you excuse me, I have to watch the HSM series that I bought for the 259th time, a-bye-bye!

2.)  Take a Walk/Jog in the Park -  Excercise is a very healthy and fun way to keep your body fit for the rest of the summer! Want to come back for the fit and healthy one this school year? Take a walk! Walking/Jogging is wonderful if you want to be working out those your muscles! Even try biking instead of using a car so we can help our planet!

Jog, but in style! American Girl ( AG Life  ):

You will need:
  • Plain Shoe
  • Accessories
  • Hot Glue Gun
  • Optional: Cans of paint
Directions:
  • Optional: Use the different colors to make an ombre style
  • Take one of the accessories, put the hot glue gun on the accessory ( or the spot on the plain shoe ), and stick it on there in a cutesie design.
  • Repeat step 2 until it fits your fashionista desire

3.)  Spend Time With Your Long Lost Twin(s) - So maybe they are not exactly your twin, but they understand you so well you feel like you are related! The worst part about this friendship is that you guys are miles apart! Good thing you aways have summer, just spend it with each other! I actually plan to spend some time with my twin this summer! We will totally do one of these summdeas!

4.)  Oooh, Cooking - You might make a humongous mess in the kitchen, so you probably might want to be cooking and cleaning! This idea is so much fun if you want to get a head start in Home Economics! You can make so many different dishes from all around the world. This is also a great opportunity if you want to learn about different cultures!

5.)  Treat Yourself During exam times things are tough! You have no time to yourself what so ever! So here is a fun and easy DIY for you to do!

Bomblaxing American Girl ( AG Life  ):

Here is an easy Homemade Bath Bomb!:
Ingredients
  • 1 cup baking soda
  • 1/2 citric acid
  • 3/4 cup cornstarch
  • Coconut Oil
  • Food Coloring
  • Bowl
  • Plastic Gloves
  • Plastic Bath Bomb Mold ( you could also just use a plastic easter egg )
  • A couple drops of the essential oil of your choice ( but make sure it is safe for a bath
This recipe should make 4-8 bath bombs

Directions:
  1. Put on your gloves
  2. Mix your dry ingredients in a bowl( baking soda, cornstarch ), with your hand. Be sure to break up any clumps
  3.  Pour Coconut Oil, until right consistency
  4.  Add a couple drops of food coloring ( you don't want to dye your skin! ). Check with parents to know if they are ok with food coloring in the bathtub
  5.  Add your essential oil
  6.  Put the mixture in your mold
  7.  Freeze them overnight
  8. The next day have a trip to your ( home ) spa bathtub! Ahhh!
6.)  Challenges & Games - Do not be bored this summer just because there is no wi-fi where you are at. Instead, how about some challenges and games! You could have your sibling, your friend, or your cousin to do the Pizza Challenge with you! Or, if you are an only child who's friends went away for the summer and your cousins are having a camping trip, do it by yourself! You could also play one of my favorite board games: Ludo! So stop being bored right now and have fun :P

7.)  Get Creative with Your Wardrobe NO SHOPPING NEEDED - School is not for everyone, so we should not forget to get our clothes together for this fall. So, here are three tips on how to shop your own closet.

1st thing to do - Get some inspiration: Look at magazines, Instagram photos, your own photos! Just anything that can help you get a little inspiration!

2nd thing to do - Don't forget your sad clothes:  How about that combo you used to wear that included the graphic tee and baggy jeans. Get flexible! With the graphic tee put a floppy hat on with it, and this time wear blue jeggings!

3rd thing to do - Have Fun: Always have fun arranging your clothes and do anything else! You will be bringing a good vibe on the first day of school!

8.)  Room Decor, Decor Room -  We all know how much every single person loves their room! But, tell me would you love a room that is bland? I wouldn't. So here are a few tips for getting your room all glammed up:

Tips :
  • Posters - Posters are a nice way to express you! They don't have to be celebrities! For example, they can be a quote (or anything) that you printed out yourself.
  • String Lights - String lights are trendy + super cute = perfection! They are so colorful and can be any design. Just don't hang up too much of the. For safety reasons :)
  • Memo Board - This is such a cool way to lift up your spirit in the morning ( or anytime really ). If you have a bad day, you have the cutest saying up on your wall to keep you going! Disclaimer: This is not a replacement for God or Jesus or your religion prayers
  • Lightbox - Lightboxes are amazingly awesome especially when you feel creative and want to create your own quote!
  • Mini Push Code Locker - Mini Push Code Lockers are perfect if you have little siblings who are very curious and poke around your stuff
  • Initial Pillow - I truly love anything that has my initials on it, so these pillows are just perfect! You can always decorate it with glitter if you want to!
  • Stickers - Stickers are amazing, especially the ones that come in puns. You can find any place in your room to stick them on!
9.)  Go Camping  - A great way for you to respect nature and the world around you. Who knows, by the time you come back from camping you probably might have your own mini greenhouse :P

10.)  Summer Music Festival  - What better way to spend time with friends, than going to a baby Coachella before the school year begins?! That is right. It is the only way.

11.)   Road Trip  - I believe that Road Trips are like one of the best ways to spend time with family. On the road, you can play so many fun games with your siblings or mom and dad.

12.)  Glow-in-the-Dark-Golf  - Golf is one of my favorite sports, so this is perfect. When I was little I played Glow-in-the-Dark-Golf and I had a blast! It is really fun if you like all things neon!

13.)  Animal Shelter Volunteering  -  Do you melt every time you see two pups on the road? Well then this is perfect for you ( I apologize for my overuse of perfect 😬 ).  You see these adorable animals every single day of the summer! If you show your parents how responsible you are, they might even allow you to get a pet of your own ( that is, if you don't already have one ).

14.)  Tie-Dye Everything! 😍😍😍  - Okay, maybe not everything, but almost everything! Tie-Dye is an amazing way to mix your favorite colors together in a super artsy way! I might just Tie-Dye my backpack right now...

15.)  Food for the Homeless  -  Do This you want to make the world a better place? Then you should have a go at this. This shows you care for the less privileged people, and are thankful to God that you were allowed to have these advantages in your life, and not be spoilt.

16.)  Drive-in-Movie  - Drive-ins make you feel like you are actually there in the movie. It feels more real than sitting next to the cell-phone dude at the cinemas.

17.)  Bonfire - Bonfires are great ways to bring people together. Plus, you make smores! Delicious s'mores!

18.)  Sunrise  -  Wake-up early in the morning to watch one of the most beautiful things God created. Sunrise. Just a moment of appreciation is good enough for everyone to collect their thoughts.

19.)  Pictures, mostly Polaroids! - This is a great way for you to remember the most fun things you did this summer.

20.)  Babysitting  - To prepare yourself for the future this is a summer job you would want to have! Babysitting children takes a lot of hard work. So much responsibility, but if you do it well, imagine the respect your parents will now give you.

21.)  Hike  -  What better way to feel the wind rush through your hair😂

22.)  Canoeing  -  You can go on a race with your friends to see who is the fastest canoeing team!

23.)  Picnic - Perfect last day of summer activity to do with your BFFLs!

24.)  Learn How To Play A Sport  -  If you feel like you were always the worst person at this sport,  learn how to play it so you can come back to school as the ( not the best  ) person who improved in this sport.

25.) Amusement Park - A nice fun day full of roller coasters! Woohoo!
