This is very important! You may be saying Bellllleeeee! Exercise is only for fat people! Which is not only rude but not true! Exercise is my excuse for going outside, to smell the beautiful flowers and see the sun show its reflection on the lake! Exercise is a nice way for me to stay home and still get fit while being creative! Exercise is Exercise!

Eat Right

Since this blog post is in partnership with Lyfestyle Allie, we felt like it was best to write the same thing for this section! 


Eating the right healthy food is important to succeed and be happy in lyfe! (Not just McDonald's or Chik-FIl-A or Burger King!๐Ÿ™…๐Ÿฝ)
Down below is a quick redux on the foods tweens (age 11-13) should be taking right now!

Fruit-
-bananas
-oranges
-raisins
-apples
-peaches

Grains-
-whole wheat
-popcorn (skip the butter and sugars!)
-oats 
-brown rice
-wild rice


Vegetables
-spinach
-tomatoes
-avocado
-cucumbers
-green peas
-acorn squash


Dairy
-milk
-yogurt
-cheese
-calcium (fortified soy milk)

Protein- 
chicken or turkey- beef- almonds, peanuts, and other nuts and nut butter- salmon, tuna, and other fish- tofu- eggs

Try to have at least 1 food from each category in your everyday diet (especially during Summer!) to keep all your necessary vitamins which are:

Vitamin A 
For amazing eye vision and smooth skin eat apricots, nectarines, carrots, spinach, sweet potatoes, and squash.


Vitamin B 
For healthy red blood cells and a healthy power bank of energy eat meat, fish, poultry, whole-grain products, leafy green vegetables, and dried beans.


Vitamin C 
For strong teeth, gums, and to keep safe from colds eat, oranges, strawberries, broccoli, peppers, spinach, and kiwi.


Vitamin D
For strong teeth and bones drink plenty milk (or hot cocoa is a nice substitute!☕️) and eat eggs, salmon, and liver.


Vitamin E 
To protect the tissue in your skin, eyes, liver, and lungs eat sunflower seeds, leafy green vegetables, nuts, and avocados!


Vitamin K 
(Yes, there is a vitamin with K!)For blood that clots quickly when your cut (which is a good thing!) eat kale, spinach, Brussels sprouts, and other dark greens.


Calcium 
For straight, tall posture and an amazing smile on your face eat yogurt, cheese, and broccoli (Especially eat your cheese on your spaghetti or macaroni yumm!๐Ÿœ) Don't forget to drink about 2 to 4 glasses of milk a day!


Iron 
For a healthy blood supply that's full of oxygen eat red meat, baked potatoes, apricots, raisins, beans, iron-fortified whole grain bread, and dark leafy greens.

Now, I know some of you will be like:

"Ummm yeah sure but there is a KFC Drive-Thru around the corner!"


But trust me once you eat one or two of those foods each day that was listed above your body will not only thank you in the future but right now as well!
And not just during the Summertime, but EVERY TIME! 
During the school year, it's even more important to make sure you have a healthy intake of healthy food!
And yes, of course, you will and can have your fair share of Mcburgers as well!๐Ÿ˜‚ Just don't overdo it! For example, some butter can go a long way in your bucket of popcorn!๐Ÿฟ

Sunscreen or Sunkey?


It's BOTH! Yes, everyone, I am taking us on a trip down memory lane to my 5 Tips for Perfect Skin In The Summer blog post! So countdown please... 3....2...1..BLAST OFF:

Knowing sunscreen basics is very important if you are an outdoors person. Sunscreen Products with an SPF of 30 will block 97% of UVB rays, they are the ones that cause sunburn the most. It is definitely important to understand and know that SPF ratings do not evaluate protection against UVA rays.

Those two types can both cause Ultra Violet radiation, and can damage your beautiful skin, so I suggest using sunscreen labeled broad spectrum so you will be protected from both types of Ultra VioletNote that some sunscreens act as physical filters and others like chemical filters.


Make sure the type of sunscreen you decide to use you kept in mind these two things - Preference and Skin Sensitivity. Always use enough, and be sure to rub it in that you barely see any of the sunscreen on your skin. Sunscreen is for everyone! We all need to be sun-ready!


Ps: Sunscreen does not only apply to going to beaches. It also applies to going out anywhere, especially in summer!

Sleeeeeeeepy!

I know nowadays we are all starting to sleep really late... it is not a Trend! If your body says it is not feeling like it has energy again, let it recharge! Unless, you want to look like a zombie at 5:45 am in the morning, I suggest 10 hours of sleep! 

No sleep, also means you can lose your memory and feel tired the rest of the day! I won't want to lose my memories ;)
